Pro Base series sheets are high-performance SBS-modified bitumen base plies specifically designed for use with Siplast’s liquid-applied Parapro and Paraflex Membrane Systems. The unique top surface is factory coated with a proprietary Syntan® acrylic coating. Pro Base can be applied in approved Type III or Type IV Asphalt, PA-1000 Asphalt, or SFT Adhesive.

Pro Base series sheets are approved for a maximum of 14 days of exposure prior to application of Parapro or Paraflex.
Pro Base is available with Siplast RoofTag RFID chips.

Pro Base

Consists of a lightweight random fibrous glass mat impregnated and coated with high-quality SBS-modified bitumen. The unique top surface is factory-coated with a proprietary Syntan® acrylic coating.

Additional Information

Pro Base meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM D6163 Type I, Grade S, and CSA A123.23-15 Type A, Grade 2 for SBS-modified bituminous sheet materials using glass fiber reinforcements.

Application

Refer to the applicable Siplast Technical Guide for detailed application information and slope limitations. Pro Base is lapped 3 inches (76 mm) side and end.

Storage and Handline

All Siplast roll roofing products should be stored on end on a clean, flat surface. Rolls should not be dropped on ends or edges or stored in a leaning position. Deformation resulting from these actions will make proper installation difficult. All roofing products should be stored in a dry place out of direct exposure to the elements and should not be double stacked. Material should be handled so that it remains dry prior to and during installation.

Parapro Roof Membrane Resin is a multi-component, fast-curing, flexible PMMA resin used as a finish ply in Parapro Roof Membrane Systems. Parapro Roof Membrane Resin, when catalyzed, is combined with Pro Fleece to form a monolithic, reinforced roof membrane system. The Parapro Roof Membrane System is designed for exposed roofing and waterproofing applications not subject to pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
