Specifically designed as the base ply of PMMA liquid-applied roofing and waterproofing systems, Pro Base series sheets are high-performance SBS-modified bitumen base plies for use with Siplast's Parapro and Paraflex Membrane Systems. Torch-applied to approved substrates, its unique top surface is factory-coated with a proprietary Syntan® acrylic coating, while the back surface is coated with a high-performance modified asphalt adhesive layer specifically formulated for torch applications. The adhesive layer is manufactured using a special process that embosses the surface with a grooved pattern to provide optimum burnoff of the plastic film and maximize application rates.

Approved for a maximum 14 days of exposure prior to application of Parapro or Paraflex materials.

Pro Base TG

Consists of a lightweight random fibrous glass mat impregnated and coated with high-quality SBS-modified bitumen.

Pro Base TS

Consists of a lightweight random fibrous glass mat impregnated and coated with an elastomeric SBS-modified bitumen. Designed for direct application to primed structural concrete decks, approved insulations, and other approved substrates. Can only be used as a base ply in Parapro Roof Membrane and Paraflex Liquid Membrane assemblies.

Application

Refer to the applicable Siplast Technical Guide for detailed application information and slope limitations. Pro Base TS and TG are lapped 3 inches (76 mm) side and end.

Storage and Handling

All Siplast roll roofing products should be stored on end on a clean, flat surface. Rolls should not be dropped on ends or edges or stored in a leaning position. Deformation resulting from these actions will make proper installation difficult. All roofing products should be stored in a dry place out of direct exposure to the elements and should not be double stacked. Material should be handled so that it remains dry prior to and during installation.

Parapro Roof Membrane Resin, when catalyzed, is combined with Pro Fleece to form a monolithic, reinforced roof membrane system. The Parapro Roof Membrane System is designed for exposed roofing and waterproofing applications not subject to pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
